Science Principle Accountabilities
Biotech Product Technical Support Specialist / Engineer The Technical Support Specialist provides technical assistance to domestic and international customers regarding all research reagents/products sold by eBioscience. Duties will include discussions regarding experimental design setup with investigators and assistance in choosing appropriate research reagents; protocol and data analysis support; and interacting with various internal departments. Assays supported include but are not limited to: Flow cytometry, western blotting, immunohistochemistry and ELISAs.
- Daily: Provide customer support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail and phone.
- Daily: Discuss protocols and data analysis with investigators.
- Daily: Assist customers with experimental setup and choosing reagents
- Weekly: Update website and datasheets based on feedback from customers
- As need be: Interact with R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service
Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Biology or related field required.
- 5-10 years experience in a customer support or product engineer role in the biotech industry required.
- Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy working with and explaining complex processes to customers.
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Filemaker, Cell Quest (FlowJo Would be a plus).
- Be able to use the internet and PubMed to find information for customers, including references.
