Description of Position
A postdoctoral Research Position in patch clamp is now open at the Department of Pediatrics, University of California San Diego. Topics of interest include understanding the relationship of the effect of hypoxia, acute or chronic, on the function of ion channels involved in brain impairment seen in normal or patients with CNS diseases.

Qualifications Required/Academic Background
biophysics, biochemistry, or a related field. Previous experience in voltage clamp and current clamp with knowledge in central nervous system are required. Knowledge of iPS cell technology desirable.

Salary/Stipend;
Concordant with UCSD pay scale for level 1 or 2 post-doctoral scholar
