Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow Positionffice ffice" />Developmental Neurobiology MRC Centre forDevelopmental Neurobiology A senior postdoctoral research post, funded by the Wellcome Trust for 3 years, is immediately available in the lab of Uwe Drescher. This research project is aimed to characterise axon branching in the chick and mouse retino-tectal/collicular projection, which represents the prevailing model system for studying topographic projections. The process of axon branching is a key step in the development of proper retino- tectal/collicular projections. To investigate this process, various functional assays as well as biochemical and molecular biological approaches will be used. A background in neurobiology and good expertise in - fluorescence/time lapse microscopy - protein biochemistry - molecular biology are expected. The successful candidate will profit from state-of-the-art technical facilities as well as a highly interactive scientific environment. Starting salaries for this position is up to £32,537 plus London Allowance and will be dependent upon skills and experience.
