Advantages

1.All proteins, which are interacting, are post-translationally modified and in natural state.
2.Proteins interact in a natural state, which can avoid the impact from human.
3.Interacting protein complex in a natural state can be generated.

Disadvantages

1.Low-affinity protein-protein interactions may not be detected.
2.Two proteins may not be directly interacted. There may be some influence of another substance.
3.In order to select detecting antibody, researchers should predict the target protein. If the forecasting is incorrect, nothing will be obtained. So Co-immunoprecipitation experiment is risky.
