I have the similar view of this book except I read the English version.fficeffice" /> However, the comparison between Crick and Edelman seems not balanced. Both of them were winners of Nobel Prize in physiology/medicine; and both won the Nobel Prize in the fields unrelated neuroscience – Crick discovered DNA mechanism with other scientists and Edelman discovered antibody mechanism with another scientist. And, they all turned into the neuroscience field after they lost the intensive interests on the original fields. Overall evaluating these two, Crick has more credit in science due to the DNA mechanism is more important than antibody mechanism. In the neuroscience field, none of their hypotheses is effective that much. |
