8th graduate congress

It is our great honour and pleasure to invite you to the 8th Graduate Congress
 
 of Department of Biological Sciences, held from 3rd to 5th December 2003. Org
 

anised by the graduate students, this congress offers an opportunity for stude
 

nts to experience what goes on in a scientific congress, while providing oppor
 

tunities for peer interaction, exchange of ideas and sharing of knowledge.
 
 
 

The theme for this year’s Congress is “Embracing Life Sciences: from Cell to
 
 Biodiversity”. We hope that with this theme, all the various disciplines in
 

biology, from biotechnology, structural biology to biodiversity, will be cover
 

ed. In this way, more of us can come forward and share our ideas and findings.
 
 We have also invited an ensemble of renowned scientists as plenary speakers f
 

or all the sessions. Thus besides learning from these scientists, we will also
 
 have the opportunity to speak to them in person and to interact with them.
 
 
 
 
 

Therefore we sincerely extend our invitation to you to join us for this event
 

and be part of this great occasion. Kindly register and submit your abstracts
 

at http://www.dbs.nus.edu.sg/congress03. Please note that the deadline of regi
 

stration and abstract submission has been postponed to 1st October 2003.
 
 
 

In addition to promoting foreign participation, we are glad to inform you that
 
 the organizers will arrange free accommodation and a SG$100 travel subsidy fo
